Goliaths in the Stream

-

The Goliath Grouper is among the largest species of boney reef fish found in tropical waters around the world. Here in Florida, commercial and recreational fishing once pushed the population to the point of a collapse. After being made a Federally Protected Species in 1990, followed by some 20 years of solid research and management programs, the population has rebounded enough to become a star attraction in South Florida waters for scuba divers both local and from afar.

Goliaths in the Stream 1

This film, Goliaths in the Stream, produced by John Anderson is the fruition of three years shooting b-roll, working with scientists and naturalists as a way of introducing you to this unique reef giant and learning something about its place in the natural world.
