Orange lobster are like buses – one comes along, and is swiftly followed by two more!

Hot on the heels of our news story on our UK website about an orange Canadian lobster being spotted by a British fishmonger and sent to live out its life in the Blackpool SeaLife Aquarium, news that two more of the ‘one-in-a-million' orange lobster had put in an appearance has come to light, this time in the US.

A couple of months ago, Jim R Coronesi, from Cor-J Seafood Market in Hampton Bays, found an orange lobster in his delivery of lobster from Maine, and a few weeks later, ‘Luigi' – named after Coronesi's father – was donated to the New York Aquarium on Coney Island.

Back in July, another orange Maine lobster was found at a Stop & Shop in Tom's River, New Jersey, and ‘Fred' was sent to the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo.
